Book Review: Bouquet Chic by Kimberly Aurora Kapur

promo-4x6If you are a florist or a wedding planner who also offers florals along with your services, you should check out the new book called Bouquet Chic by Kimberly Aurora Kapur, a professional wedding florist.  Or maybe you are a wedding planner, just wanting to help your brides with ideas for her bridal bouquet.

We recently had the pleasure of reading a copy of this new publication and enjoyed it quite a bit. We loved her use of jeweled inserts, feathers, and beautiful ribbons. There are some gorgeous florals in the book that would be a inspiration to many. Kimberly works in the Seattle area and has an online retail site for wedding decoration products at RomanticFlowers.com.

She presents the book as either an inspirational tool for brides to understand flowers better and find the floral combinations for her wedding day bouquet or to serve as a guide to help a bride make her own bouquet.  The book, Bouquet Chic classifies bouquets into four categories: something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue to help a bride match her wedding gown style with her wedding bouquet.

As a wedding planner, it is hard for me to recommend to any bride to make her own flowers.  That is way too much work.  And as Kimberly states in the book, it requires skill that most brides I believe would not have the time to master prior to their wedding day.  However, I believe this book is great for brides to learn about flowers, to see the creative process at work to make a beautiful bouquet and learn to appreciate the time and skill necessary to present a quality product.

This book can be the inspiration as your client searches for the perfect bridal bouquet to accessorize her wedding gown. We picked out three of our favorite bouquets that we wanted to share with you.  You will find many more looks to choose from with Bouquet Chic. We would definitely recommend this book, Bouquet Chic to any bride or wedding professional looking to enhance their floral knowledge.

We give Bouquet Chic: 5 stars 5stars
